About Me

My dedication revolves around the well-being of our dogs, encompassing services such as dog boarding, sitting, participation in dog shows, and the nurturing of puppies. My lifelong passion for animals has driven me to commit wholeheartedly to their care and welfare. From a young age, I was surrounded by various animals, sparking my fascination with breeding and raising new life. As a child, I cared for rats, mice, and hamsters. In my later years, I expanded my experience to breeding and raising ferrets. When I became a mother, I chose to leave my job to focus on raising my son. This decision naturally led me to pursue dog breeding, allowing me to stay at home while doing something I truly love. Witnessing a puppy's first steps, wag, and bark is a profound experience, and I strive to capture these precious milestones in photographs.

Determined to be a responsible breeder, I joined a breed club to deepen my understanding of breeding purebred dogs, particularly Shetland Sheepdogs. My breeding priorities are health, temperament, and conformation, in that order. Health is paramount; what value does a Sheltie have if it suffers from early-onset health issues? Temperament follows closely, as it’s the delightful disposition that makes Shelties stand out. Without it, they would merely be attractive dogs with poor behavior.

Before deciding if a Sheltie is the right breed for you, I urge you to thoroughly research their health, history, temperament, and breed standards. This intelligent and affectionate breed is not suited for every lifestyle. If you lead a busy life with long working hours, I recommend considering another breed.

OUR BREEDING BASE

One of the standout features of Shelties is their exceptional intelligence. Ranked among the top 10 most intelligent dog breeds, they are quick learners and excel in various canine sports, including agility and obedience trials. Their trainability makes them ideal for families seeking a responsive and engaging pet.

In addition to their smarts, Shelties are known for their affectionate and loyal temperament. They form strong bonds with their families and are often described as “velcro dogs” due to their desire to stay close to their loved ones. This makes them excellent companions for individuals seeking a devoted and loving pet.

However, potential owners should be aware that Shelties require regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. Their herding instincts can lead them to chase moving objects, so early training and socialization are essential. Additionally, their thick double coat requires regular grooming to prevent matting and maintain their appearance.

In conclusion, Shelties are a wonderful choice for those who can provide them with the attention, exercise, and training they need. Their intelligence, loyalty, and affectionate nature make them a cherished addition to many households.
